KSC Silver buckle – Update

Making fast progress on this Christmas present. I engraved the inside of the buckle with a nice sentiment from the giver and attached all the belt keeper parts. That all took about two hours. Then I remounted it onto a wood block with GRS Thermolock and began to layout the design.

I love the letter style for the monogram and the two scrolls wrap around the letters nicely. I used my favorite flowers to engrave at the corners and the overall design looks perfect.

I will still add a border design but I’m waiting until all this is cut before laying out the border design. That way I’ll know how much room I have. When I engrave I do not always follow the design. Sometimes inspiration hits and I take a few extra turns and make a few more cuts. So I’ve learned to leave myself some extra room to play with.

Hope you like it so far.

Stay tuned…
