Custom rifle barrel engraving

Today a custom rifle builder from Cortez CO (Just west of my home) stopped by to see if I could engrave the caliber on a rifle he had just completed. The graver is held in a steel holder and struck with a light engraving hammer. Very “old School” but for a custom rifle it is very appropriate. Continue reading

Silver Sheriff badge Layout

This morning I practiced the edge border until I had it down perfectly. You can see the final edge border that will be used on the silver badge above the “TEN” in Lieutenant. There will be a very thin silver border and inside that will be a weaving cut design and finally a wriggle cut. Continue reading
